Parenting With Soul
June, 2013
 Hello ,

The subject line of this note to you is the title of a collaborative e-book compiled by my friend, Trisha Savoia. You can get it for free HERE.

I wanted to dedicate this newsletter to a group of quotes from the book.  I'm a contributing author (page 49, How to Step Out of Ego and Into Connection with Your Child) , and a number of my favourite people are also contributors. I thought it was cool how much overlap there was between these quotes I pulled out.

I especially love the title of the book - it's all about what my last few emails have been about - reconnecting with yourself, your true heart and deepest soul, and bringing that full and real you into your relationships with your children.

Here are some quotes from the book to inspire you. The one on the right is mine:).

"You are doing the best you can. Be kind to yourself. There will be times when you think you have failed, in these moments the best thing you can do for your children is to love yourself through the mistakes and perceived failures. Your children learn how to love themselves by watching how you love yourself." ~ Gemma Stone

"Do you criticize your parenting skills? Do you ever feel like you're not doing enough? Drop the guilt of having to be the perfect parent. You will make mistakes along the way and rather than beating yourself up about it, honour yourself with kindness and compassion for everything that you've done, knowing that it was the best you could do in that moment." ~ Jackie Dumaine

"I will always be a work in progress. Forever coming back to the silence. The silence is the creative space and no creative thing is ever really completed." ~ Nicole Brooks

Noticing a theme?  Hint: YOU are enough! It's okay not to be perfect, and YOU are enough, right now.  Yay, YOU, in all your imperfect glory. (I'm so glad you're a part of my world.)

And here's the cool connection - I'd love to invite you to join me and some amazing women in the fall, as we continue our mothering journeys with the support of the Women's Wellness Circle: Exploring Experiences and Expressions of Motherhood.  I love this title, too - exploring experiences and expressions of motherhood.  Do you hear how the ego is left out? It's not about judging - it's about exploring. It's not about proving - it's about experiencing.  It's not about getting it "right" - it's about expressing, creatively and authentically, from your soul.

Feel free to go HERE now to download the whole ebook (it's free). I think you'll get a lot out of it!
