Hello ,
 |
This time of year is all about thinking long-term for me. I get to focus on what new wonderfulness I want to create in my life, and I love that!
I'm one of those moms who has found every year with my child to be better than the last, and |

though I often hear parents lamenting years past, and missing the age when...(fill in the blank) I have never experienced that. Right now, I have an amazing and ever-deepening relationship with my child. I always think to myself, "I love this age!" And long-term, I fully expect to love watching my daughter grow into adulthood. I'm not afraid of the teen years, or young adulthood. I am so excited to watch our relationship develop, and to see my daughter grow and learn.
I really believe that this is because I have a really good handle on child development. I know what to expect at each age, so when I watched my daughter's gears turn until she burst out "I hate YOU!" - instead of bursting into tears, I rejoiced
- because she had reached a new developmental stage. When I saw her feeling overwhelmed with fears, I knew how to address it and didn't worry that she had anxiety. When she was totally unable to cope with the idea of sharing for a couple of months (sorry, Penelope), I remembered that she was just at the age of establishing a relationship between herself and This Toy, so I didn't worry that she was Anti-social and Getting Worse.
I'd love to give you a whole lotta peace of mind, and some long-term perspective. In this day, with the world moving so fast, your kids need you to understand them, so that you can confidently help them manage their experience
of changing so much, from the inside out. We're going to dive right into everything you need to Stay Connected and Help Your Child Thrive in the Big Picture Parenting Class of 2014.
"I have done a bunch of reading on positive parenting, but had a hard time incorporating the lessons. This course has brought much of that knowledge together and given me a simple yet comprehensive framework to help me in future situations. Your specific suggestions are very useful. You seem to effortlessly shed light on almost any problem. Thank you!"
